About me
Hello! I’m Miguel and welcome to my portfolio! I’m a Portuguese born Game and Software Developer passionate about writing efficient code in low-level languages such as C/C++. I have a master’s degree in Computer Science Engineering and although I have officially stopped being a student, I’m still actively learning about many topics such as video-game development, rendering and embedded systems due to the intricacies that low resource and time restricted systems, such as these, bring. There is nothing more satisfying than taking challenges that can be solved through efficient coding and knowledge of the systems we are working on.
I’m also a follower of the Handmade Manifesto which has been leading me towards new and different ways of programming and understanding how computers really work and that programming can’t be trully separated from the hardware we are working on.
Besides all that, I’m friendly, communicative, level-headed, a team-player who likes taking challenges head-on and above all, a person who loves to learn.
If you’re intersted in my Software Development path, check my Resume and Projects. Also, if you like video-games, feel free to check out my game jam submissions on itch!
Feel free to contact me through the provided contact methods.
Thank you for visiting!

Projects
As a Human being there is nothing more satisfying than to imagine and create something. Creativity, either coming from necessity or leisure, is a way to express ourselves, to interact with the world and make it better. It transforms thought to matter. It transforms the creator.
These projects are a way for me to express myself, to get in the creative flow, to bring my thoughts to this world, to fulfill my necessities, to become better at what I do. They are not perfect, but what ever comes perfect from an imperfect being?
